Two Truths and a Lie

Hi all,

I'm Tiffany (aka Ms. Tiffany to my students, Momma to my daughter and 'babe' to my husband). I work in Early Childhood Special Ed and LOVE IT. I've been an Instructional Aide for the past 5 years and the plan is to continue on to become an Early Childhood SPED teacher. My daughter, Lila is our sweet rainbow baby and is almost 2 years old (still can't believe it!). I've been married, going on 4 years but my husband and I have been together for the past 9 years. We have a Golden doodle, named Daisy, who is our other child. Lately, I've spent most of my time hanging with my mini-me because of #'Rona. I enjoy being outside, I love to sing & dance, and my favorite past time is eating.

Here are my two truths and a lie:

1. My paternal Grandfather was a clown. Not only was he a clown, but he was also a magician. His name was Professor Zappo.
2. My maternal Grandmother wrote a series of Children's books. They were called 'Adventures of the Moon Kids' and based on the life of her and her 4 siblings and all the shenanigans they used to get into.
3. My dream is to publish a children's book. I have jotted down ideas on my 'notes' section in my phone.

    Great picture of you and your little girl! I hope to go on and become Early Sped Certified as well! I am currently in a Pre-k Sped classroom and it has fueled my passion even more. I'm going to guess that the lie is number two about your paternal grandfather. Though all of them seem like they could be so legit!!

    She is absolutely precious Tiffany. My favorite past time is eating too haha. I'm glad to have you in another class. We are almost to the finish line! I'm going to guess the lie is about you grandfather although I hope that is true because it sounds awesome.

    Really cute picture. I like the different nicknames. You have a great past time, I wish I could have the same one. I think the 1st one about your grandfather is the lie.

    Hello! SPED is the way to go! Not always easy but it sure is important and fun most of the time. I dont think Professor Zappo was a magician, I think he was a clown...

    Nice to see you again! Such a cute picture with your girl. Love the sunflowers! Bless your soul for doing early childhood SPED. It is NOT an easy job. Parents are sensitive, communication is hard, and those emotions are everywhere. You must be a saint! I think all of these are true, but I'm gonna go ahead and say that you had a grandma who wrote books, but it was your paternal grandmother, not maternal.

Thinking Maps

This week we talked about Thinking Maps. Thinking Maps are eight different diagram types that use common language for thinking strategies. You can read more about Thinking Maps here html Types of Thinking Maps I personally will enjoy doing lessons with Thinking Maps. I am a visual learner and I think that these will help engage students and also help work together. As an early childhood SPED teacher I plan to use Thinking Maps with pictures and simple words. Pinterest is a blessing to teachers (thank you technology!) and I've enjoyed looking at ideas for thinking Maps for preschoolers. We do a lot of references to our theme (usually a book) in our larger group, small group and snack time. At small group we've done simple sequences and I never knew that was a Thinking map until now!
